National Technician Appreciation Week: Spotlight on the Ponce Brothers At HOLT Truck Centers, we are fortunate to have not just one, but two incredible contributors in the Ponce brothers, Julian and Zuriel. Their commitment to Values-Based Leadership and teamwork has made a lasting impact on our Oklahoma HTC team, and we’re excited to share their story. The older of the two, Julian Ponce, joined our Enid Truck Center in February 2022 as a Truck Service Technician. In just four months, Julian faced a challenge that would test his leadership and adaptability. When the store’s Service Manager left unexpectedly, Julian stepped up to assist the Service Advisor. Later, when the Service Advisor went on maternity leave, Julian took it upon himself to provide support both in the office and the shop, showcasing his versatility and dedication. His leadership didn’t stop there. Julian has also volunteered to assist other locations dealing with medical absences and staff shortages, always stepping in where he’s needed. His initiative even extended to recruiting new talent—he encouraged his younger brother, Zuriel, to join the HOLT family! Following in his brother’s footsteps, Zuriel Ponce became a part of HOLT Truck Centers in October 2022 as a Truck Service Technician. Since joining, Zuriel has specialized in key areas of our operations. He is the only technician on his team to earn his school bus inspector certification from the Oklahoma State Department of Education, demonstrating his pursuit of excellence and continuous learning. Zuriel’s commitment doesn’t end with certifications. He has spent many weekends helping the Tulsa bus plant complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs), supporting school districts across the country. Outside of work, Zuriel also gives back to the community, volunteering for Enid’s Day of Kindness, showing that his passion for service extends well beyond the shop. While some siblings might view the workplace as a competitive arena, for Julian and Zuriel, it’s a space where they can showcase their skills and build camaraderie. Their contributions to HOLT Truck Centers and their community make them a perfect example of the HOLT Values we cherish. HOLT Truck Centers Celebrated Grand Opening of New Facility in Wichita Falls, Texas HOLT Truck Centers, an authorized International and Idealease dealer in Oklahoma, East Texas and now North Texas, celebrated the grand opening of a new facility in Wichita Falls, Texas. The new facility will fill an important gap, providing products and services to trucks at a convenient location between Dallas and Oklahoma City. With the addition of the location In Wichita Falls, HOLT Truck Centers now has a total of 15 locations across Texas and Oklahoma. This growth comes after the organization expanded its International and Idealease dealerships to five locations in Oklahoma in 2021 and one in Tyler, Texas earlier this year. “As an International dealer, we look forward to bringing innovation grounded in a rich history to Wichita Falls,” said Bert Fulgium, senior vice president of HOLT Group. “We understand the work our truck customers do every day and their need to have top-quality products, solutions and support to move our community forward. This expansion helps ensure we can meet their needs where they are.” HOLT Truck Centers provides full-service, rebuilds, and parts for all makes and models of on-highway trucks. The company also sells new and used on-highway trucks, trailers, and busses. Operations Manager, Derek Girouard, a long-time Wichita Falls resident, will oversee the new location and team of technicians, parts specialists and customer service representatives. “As a retiree of the United States Air Force, I was looking to join an organization with a solid foundation and a strong set of values. I have found that with Holt Truck Centers,” said Girouard. “I’m looking forward to being an integral part of the community by providing legendary service to truck drivers and helping ensure their safety on the roads.” The new location will serve its customers with six service bays across 12,000 square feet.
